SNA Software Releases DCMA Test Metric (DECM) Version 8.0

SNA Software Releases DCMA Test Metric (DECM) Version 8.0

SNA Software is pleased to announce the release of its dashboard application update to version 8.0 of the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) test metrics.

SNA Software has been the solution provider for DCMA since 2016. The DECM test metrics are a combination of automated, semi-automated, and manual tests applied against metadata submitted by major defense suppliers to the EVM Central Repository. The test metrics reveal weaknesses in data caused by defects in underlying project, earned value, and project scheduling management systems and procedures, such as issues with schedule logic, missed tasks, and inconsistencies in earned value data. They help identify areas needing improvement to ensure accurate tracking of project performance against the baseline plan.

In total, 35 test metrics were changed from version 7.0, and three others deleted, bringing the test count down to 139. An option to recalculate a contract dataset using either version 7.0 or 8.0 logic was also introduced and Priority Tiers were added to the test metrics with the ability to drill down through the trigger and conditional DECM’s per DCMA’s new guidance.

SNA's Proteus Envision suite matches 100% to the agency's results. Proteus Envision's DECM dashboard application solution achieves this level of accuracy due to its unique ability to take data from any third-party application and transform it into a non-proprietary schema and load it into linked-open datasets.

This is achieved through EnvisionData Transformer, a COTS automated data transformation application. Combined with the no-code/low-code Proteus Integrator modular open-systems (MOSA) platform, and pre-configured and customizable Envision Dashboard applications, a powerful project, program, and portfolio management solution is rapidly deployed. The combination of these solutions improves time to data, reduces redundancies, reduces direct labor, improves productivity, and provides essential insights into project performance regardless of underlying applications or datasets.

“We’re approaching ten years of maintaining DECM updates in Proteus Envision since its introduction in 2016 when it was first known as EVAS," stated Matt Pitstick, CEO of SNA Software. “Over that time the agency has worked closely with industry to continually improve and fine tune the data-driven compliance and surveillance process. Proteus Envision’s open and configurable architecture has been able to adapt with these updates, being transparent throughout the progressions.”
